Hong lab

Our main focus of interest is to understand how neurotransmission influences the formation of neural circuits in both the brain and spinal cord. The zebrafish is our favourite model system to visualize the developing nervous system in vivo to address this question. We use diverse techniques including genetics, optogenetics, pharmacology, electrophysiology, behavioural assays and various microscopy methods.
